Soaking in the sun & sights in downtown Nashville, TN!
Looking for shelter from the rain, we found this cool little place…
Cracker Barrel! Good old fashioned biscuits and gravy, this was pretty much the start of the extreme food journey. That hashbrown casserole, hot damn!
First trip to Walmart! A fancy one with valet parking. This place was so huge, you could barely make out the other side!
Waiting for the eclipse, It ended up being a pretty cool experience.
Angie told me this is an iconic Nashville tourist spot, so…
The Parthenon in Nashville – the Athens of the South!
When I found out there was an American Pickers store in Nashville, I simply had to stop by. So much cool old stuff…
My love affair with American fast food continues. This stuff was soo good, and I’d been wanting it since first seeing Harold and Kumar…
NEW YORK:
Couldn’t start the New York adventure without a classic NY slice! Pádraig showed us the place to go, 2 Bros Pizza!
Margs and Mexican treats in NYC! I ate some of the best Mexican I’ve ever had on this trip, and this was one of those times (when it WASN’T Taco Bell…)
Angie’s old work, Warby Parker provided a nice photo op.
Gotta get that classic Empire State Building photo. They went with pink that night.
The same stairs Louis CK and countless other famous comedians have waked down. A legitimate holy place.
Brunch at The Park
NBC Studio Tour! Unfortunately no photos allowed inside but it was a humbling experience to walk through those hallowed halls where the magic happens. Angie teared up a little
Another cool NYC restaurant. We ordered the pasta sampler and it was the biggest thing ever. This place specialises in doggy bags…
Before a bit of standup comedy…
Getting to perform in New York was definitely a dream come true!
LAS VEGAS:
Of course!
View from our hotel at the Mirage. Vegas was so fascinating, some of those casinos were mind blowing inside, the level of excess! One of them in the picture, The Venetian, has it’s own canal with boats running through!
Fancy dinner at Delmonico Steakhouse. Probably the finest dining experience I’ve had so far, the steak was out of this world (as was the wine list…)
Angie getting amongst that Vegas vibe.
I love American food!
Just another classic tourist shot…
You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey’s uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich..
So famous…
As a big fan of Fallout New Vegas, it was pretty cool to see some of the real world locations (like Goodsprings, The Strip, etc.) around Las Vegas that inspired the game! I took a bunch of photos, but as we were leaving on the drive to LA I couldn’t resist the opportunity to make one last stop at Primm and get a quick snap of Buffalo Bill’s (complete with roller coaster) that inspired the in-game Bison Steve Hotel
LOS ANGELES:
We were only in LA briefly, but as burger connoisseurs we still found the time to visit this little place…
In-N-Out Burger! Not bad, but didn’t top Taco Bell as all time greatest American food!
“GET HIM TO THE…” saw this gem on the way up the Hollywood Hill to see the famous sign (that pic didn’t turn out so good)
